The location is perfect if you like nature on all levels and Tom and Maureen give you the best tips on everything in the area. Highly recommend! The property is 16 miles from Stroudsburg. The apartment was exactly as pictured. Everything was nice and neat. Definitely a do over! Hotel room clean and neat , pool area clean. The air-conditioned property is 14 miles from Stroudsburg. There was also pots dishes and silverware which made eating more convenient. The bed was so comfortable ample towels. The elevator was rather small and very slow. All and all it is a wonderful place located near Kalahari and a while lot cheaper without sacrificing quality. Beautiful but very old hotel which needs a face lift in many areas. Outdoor pool was very nice with a cabana bar next to it. All the staff was very friendly and pleasant. Many outdoor activities you can do near by. We did the horseback riding which was a lot Of fun. Visited some breweries, little shopping and relaxed by pool. It was nice but For the price of the room I was disappointed in the basics that it lacked. We had a very relaxing and peaceful stay. They have a nice fitness center and we even took a Yoga class which was excellent. Staff is wonderful. The setting is very unique. There is a lot to do, or you can just relax. This hotel is close by to other area attractions. Pool was filthy. Decor outdated. Air conditioner and toilet were not working. The A. The toilet was temporarily fixed and stopped working again after a few flushes. Not much to do there apart from a spa treatment and the water park at kalahari or Great Wolf Lodge if youre traveling with kids. Not much adult entertainment. The area is too remote and a can become boring after a day. If I could give a 0 I would! Pay the extra money to stay at the Casino!! We stayed at the Pocono Manor for a wedding. The first room we got the sheets were never changed on the beds and there was hair in them still! I was so grossed out. We went down to the front desk and they did not seem shocked all. So they just switched out our room having someone checking the new room to make the sure the sheets were clean. If anything I should be refunded for having a dirty room!!! I like swimming pool.
