Better yet, the bounce that a new pair of tennis shoes adds to your step Each year, children whose families ride ALFC buses to church, experience that same joy during the back-to-school season when our church members donate money to purchase new backpacks, school supplies, and tennis shoes in just the right size. One of the highlights of our year! Beginning in November, church members donate resources and toys for our church to provide thousands of children in need with toys at Christmas. Thousands of children every Christmas arrive with great anticipation to receive these brand new toys. Last year, we gave away 20, brand new toys and this year we will do even more. Approximately six giveaways are hosted each year in our school, Faith Christian Academy, where new and gently used clothing is made available to all who attend church that day. In addition to clothing, hundreds of new and used winter coats are provided each year. Blankets, toys, household and baby items are also made available through the generous donations of our church family. Every year we reach over 1, families with much needed apparel for every age and size. If you need clothing Clothing Coupons are distributed during the services on giveaway days. Beginning in October, ALFC bus riders earn Christmas coupons for church attendance, scripture memorization and bringing visitors to church. Hundreds of donated gift items are set up in our Christmas Store. This gives parents and children the opportunity to go Christmas shopping for gifts they might not otherwise be able to enjoy. Our church is able to bless families every year through this ministry! FCA works to prepare young people to be leaders in every aspect of life spiritually and academically. FCA provides classes for pre-kinder, ages 3 years old through 12th grade. Our students compete to receive top honors in local, district, and state competitions in academics, fine arts, and athletics. As a result of the generous giving of the ALFC church family and donations from other organizations and businesses, approximately bags of food per week are given to families in need after each of our regular services on campus at ALFC. We are able to help more people with specific items because of our monthly Food Pantry Drive at the church. Recipients must attend service to obtain a food coupon that is redeemable at the Food Pantry. We also give food to different churches and ministries throughout the El Paso region. Volunteer teams minister the Word of God in group-settings at various detention facilities throughout the El Paso area on a weekly basis. One-on-one visits are also available upon request. As a church we provide several resources to prisoners, such as personal hygiene packages and Christian books for their spiritual growth. Families of prisoners have also received clothing, furniture, Christmas gifts, and food. We thank all our law enforcement for their courage and strength. We offer special prayer for all law enforcement in every service. Twice a year, church members are able to travel to the Dominican Republic as part of our Missions Team. Through this 10 day trip, individuals are given the opportunity to bless people hands on. One thing is for sure we overwhelm our partner churches and communities with the love of God by our benevolent acts. We bring the gospel, food, toys and backpacks. We have donated over baseball gloves and basketballs to the children in the community! As our team teaches the Word they encounter an incredible emotional and spiritual adventure.
